Stitch Fix #10: Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner

Stitch Fix #10: Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner

Hi, my name is Tiffany and I’m in love with people I don’t know (named Nicole, my stylist this month), things I don’t need, and a service that just keeps on giving.

*phew* I feel better.

Stitch Fix #10: Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner

This month was WOW. I could keep all 5. No joke. I never thought this day would come (insert a tiny, exasperated gasp of first world glory), but it has! Oh wait, I’m an adult and I live on a budget. Time to get serious.

I mixed it up this month and went with the pieces laid out on the floor for your viewing pleasure. I’ve come to learn that when people are searching (me included) for their pieces in anticipation or to find out prices, the flat look works for many. I can always go back to the “try it all on” look but honestly, I’m often quite disheveled by the end of the day and probably sweating. Not always my best self. This is not body shaming or anything, it’s truth. I work out at 5 p.m. I come home to my box. I need to do 19 things that include a shower but don’t. I am a women in real life (check that out on instagram) and I’m a mess at after work.

Here we go!

MARKET & SPRUCE Torin French Terry Stripe Blazer-$72

Stitch Fix #10: Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner

Super cute, fit great, nice cut. Not lined. Scratchy on the inside. Horizontal stripes still give me the willies too. Fence sitting but since I don’t LOVE, probably sending back. Also, worth $72? Not sure. Everyone can be the judge.

LAVENDER BROWN Noel Silk Dress- $108

Stitch Fix #10: Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner

Stitch Fix #10: Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner

A beautiful dress. A simply beautiful piece. Soft feel, flattering colors, generous cut. The side pockets can probably go, but I can sew those closed myself. The dress is roomy. Almost too roomy even for me. However, I styled the crap out of it because I LOVE THE PATTERN on it. You can see the progression. I’m sure I’ll strap a cute necklace on for summer weddings and other festive fetes coming my way. I know it’s a splurge but I haven’t bought a dress in over a year. I AM KEEPING THIS and if I keep nothing else, so be it.

PIXLEY Miandra Embroidered Top $54

Stitch Fix #10: Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner

Adorable. Cute. Love the embroidery on it. The blue is bold and really flattering for my yellow/olive toned skin. Fit really nicely. See through though. As in-hey girl, wanna see my bra?

FATE McCall Lace Detail Blouse-$58

Stitch Fix #10: Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner

LOVE THIS. The end. Nicole (my stylist) picked this off my Pinterest board (thank you nicole). My sock toes are also peeking at you…HI!

STREET LEVEL Jacey Striped Reversible Tote- $62

Stitch Fix #10: Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner

Reversible? Yes. Roomy? YES. Striped? Yes. Kind of muted? Yes. Which is where I got turned off. I have a black shoulder bag and these stripes were dark and drab to me. I can be picky. I can return this. And I am. Almost any other colors for spring/summer and I probably would have kept. Just couldn’t do it. The magnetic enclosure was great, the little change purses were adorable, but it was so…dark. Nicole mentioned my pins again and I appreciate her attention to me and the algorithm that she operates under.

So, there you have it. All the pieces fit. Nicole did a fantastic job! I am first world grateful for her.

Stitch Fix has been a great service for me. I can honestly admit that I’ve cut down on purchasing clothes in general and when I am at Target, I’ll think, “no, a box is coming soon” before I spend money on stuff I won’t wear or just wear a few times. I can honestly say I wear the crap out of my stitch fix pieces. I get compliments on them frequently and the clothes are always interesting and not things I would normally purchase. If you’d like to give it a try, you can use my link

No pressure either way. Stitch Fix doesn’t compensate me. I pay the $20 styling fee each month and appreciate what they send me.
